Puppy Session with Cleo the Cockerpoo

Updated: Nov 15, 2021

My adventure with Cleo began when she was only 15 weeks old, her mum wanted to capture some portraits while she was still a puppy.

The challenge with puppy sessions is the limited time you have to explore a location keeping in mind that puppies at this age should not be taking long walks in this development stage. Now you would think that my biggest problem with puppy photoshoots would be keeping them still long enough for a photo, this doesn't bother me at all, puppies are usually at that lovely stage where they are quite receptive to training and listening. Cleo was such a little superstar and took the whole experience in her stride. We went to Gravelly Hollow in between Nottingham and Mansfield to explore the woods. This was Cleo's very first time in the woods, or outside of her usual walking route, and it was wonderful to watch her investigate all of the sights and smells the woods has to offer.

I believe it is so important to capture these puppy days because before you know it they are fully grown and you are left wondering what happened to that tiny ball of fur you brought home. Having portraits like these to capture a moment in time means that you can always look back on your dogs puppy days with fond memories.

Katrina, Cleo's mum, was looking for some bespoke wall art so that she could display her love for Cleo proudly on her wall for all to see. She opted for my Reserve Best in Show package which includes all of the images from her session as high resolution digital downloads and a 16x20 inch Fine Art Float Frame.

I honestly don't know how she managed to decide which image to print, Cleo looks adorable in all of them, but in the end she chose the image below to frame.

As soon as I saw her choice I just knew she had made a great decision and could just see this taking pride of place in her house.

The Fine Art Float Frames come in a choice of 6 frame colours and this one was done in Oak with a torn edge on the print.

*Please note the frame is still in it's cellophane wrapping as this was taken before it was delivered to the client

I would like to thank Katrina for trusting me to capture her perfect little puppy and I hope that she can cherish her wall art for many years to come, even after Cleo has grown old.

If you have a puppy, or are planning to get one soon, do not hesitate to contact me to book in your puppy session or before you know it, your little puppy won't be so little anymore!
